Two Flexible Delivery Options

Choose what suits you best. Either way, customs duty is always £0 under the EU-UK Trade Agreement. The only difference is how and when your local VAT is settled.

Option 1

DAP (Delivered At Place)

We deliver right to your door and our courier collects your local import VAT before release. You get the lowest upfront cost and can reclaim the VAT through your own VAT return.

Option 2

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)

We pre-pay all VAT and clearance charges on your behalf, so the price you agree is the final price. There is nothing extra to pay on delivery, for total peace of mind.

We ship DAP as standard. If you would prefer DDP, please let us know and we will arrange it for you.

Before You Order

What You'll Need

Shipping to an EU or EEA member state? Customs there requires two details from your business before we can deliver. These are specific to EU/EEA orders. Don't have them yet? Just ask and our team will guide you through it.

EU EORI Number

An EORI (Economic Operators Registration and Identification) number identifies your business to customs and is required to import goods into the EU/EEA. If you are VAT-registered you can usually obtain one quickly and free of charge through your national customs portal.

Local VAT Number

Your local VAT registration number lets us apply the correct VAT treatment and reclaim the import VAT through your normal VAT return. Please provide it with your order so we can prepare accurate customs paperwork.

1. Export & Customs Documentation

  • Commercial Invoice: A full, itemised commercial invoice is prepared for every international shipment.
  • Customs Declarations: Export and import declarations are handled by us and our freight partners.
  • Incoterms: DAP or DDP terms agreed with you before dispatch.

2. Commodity Codes (HS Codes) for Dell EMC Equipment

Our Dell EMC products are classified under these Harmonized System codes, used for customs clearance worldwide:

  • HS Code 8471 50 00: Processing units (servers, workstations)
  • HS Code 8471 70 00: Storage units (DAS, SAN, NAS arrays)
  • HS Code 8517 62 00: Networking equipment (switches, routers)
